WORLD'S WILDEST POLICE VIDEOS

I'm sitting at home last night enjoying NCIS when I hear sirens. I can tell they're coming down my street, so I hop off the couch to the front windows. All of a sudden this car comes flying around the corner with two cops right behind. He loses control a little and appears to come into my yard before flooring it and taking off down the street. I'm already pumped up on Tuesday's anyways because The Unit is on, but that got me really excited. I've never seen something like that. After The Unit, I'm watching the news and they show the result of the chase which was the car hitting a pole somewhere in East Toledo. They said they were throwing drugs out of the window, so I immediately grab a flashlight and go outside searching for drugs and ruts in my yard. Needless to say, I found nothing and was very disappointed.

That chase got me thinking about how much I hate the shows on Spike TV. You know, the World's Wildest Police Videos or World's Craziest Police Chases. Even though I can't help but watch when they're on, I really, truly hate them for two reasons. First, Sherriff John Bunnell. There may not be a more annoying man on television. I think he's seriously trying to convince everyone that a unarmed cop could take down a special forces unit by himself or an officer is a good enough driver to PIT a tank. I mean, I know some bad ass cops, but give me a break. Second, the chases that are being filmed from a news helicopter. The reason those bother me is because whether they're taking place in LA, New York, Houston, Phoenix, Chicago, etc., the same guy is the voice in the sky. Are they really trying to convince me that this reporting is live. I want to meet the person who goes to a recording studio to voiceover police chases with bad static noises in the background. Why can't they just play the original broadcasters or pilots?

The real chase was exciting though. Followed by yet another great episode of The Unit.
